Perfumes are meant to enhance our daily lives and adventurous spirit.

I was inspired to create this rollerball perfume after reading about ancient mixes of perfume oils. I wondered what popular plants were used in the ancient world. For instance, Patchouli was highly valued and early European traders would exchange it for gold. One pound of Patchouli was even worth one pound of gold. In fact, it is believed that the Pharaoh Tutankhamun, better known as "King Tut," was buried with 10 gallons of Patchouli Essential Oil in his tomb. My goal was to create a blend that was earthy and ancestral. After months of mixing the oils, I still had no name for it. I decided to meditate in a field overlooking Lough Derg on a hot summer's day and ask nature for a sign. To my surprise, a giant dragonfly came and rested on my shoulder for almost 10 minutes before continuing on its journey. After doing some research, I discovered that dragonflies were often depicted on tombs, amulets, and charms in ancient Egypt.
"Dragonflies are reminders that we are light/and we can reflect light in powerful ways if we choose to do so." – Robyn Nola.

INGREDIENTS:

~PETITIGRAIN

Top Note. Fresh, floral, and often herbaceous aroma, it has a calming scent that can help reduce anxious or tense feelings.

~ROSA DAMASCENA

Heart Note. Floral and sweet,  the fragrance of roses has the magical ability to calm you down and, at the same time, raise your spirits.

~MYRRH

Middle Note. Warm, rich, spicy, smoky, herbaceous, woody, and dry. The aroma is purifying, refreshing, revitalizing, and uplifting.

~PATCHOULI

Base Note.

Sweet, spicy, rich, woody, earthy, and dry. It contributes to a grounded, balanced emotional effect and helps call in the earth element.

When inhaled, the musky-earthy aroma of pure Patchouli Essential Oil sends receptors to the brain's emotional powerhouse to process the smell as grounding and emotionally balancing—allowing the brain and body to relax by calming down emotions. The soothing scent stimulates the release of pleasure hormones, namely serotonin and dopamine, thereby improving negative moods and enhancing relaxation. It is believed to work as an aphrodisiac by stimulating sensual energy and boosting the libido.

Long-lasting and easy to apply. Apply to pulse points or wherever skin heats up. As the skin warms, the fragrance is released over time. Longer-lasting than alcohol perfumes and more subtle. Although the patchouli scent is strong and dark, it is a cheerful little (2.5 ft) bushy herb that blooms with light purple, pink-white flowers in the autumn.

In the early 1800s, patchouli-scented fabrics made their way to Britain from India, sparking great interest. Women of high society during that period wore cashmere shawls packed with the leaves of the patchouli plant. Soon, inhaling Patchouli became a popular trend and was considered an elegant indulgence in Victorian high society. Today, the distinctive scent of Patchouli has been called "indispensable" to the fragrance industry as the basis of many perfumes.

Use sparingly as the scent is intense and long-lasting. Increase as desired.

As with any new product, always perform a patch test before use. If pregnant or nursing, please consult your physician before using.

Comes in a 10 ml Cobalt Blue Glass bottle.
